Hi Beauties,
Hope you’re all keeping well. I decided to do a post on my current natural skincare regime since I feel I have finally found the right products and my skin has improved immensely. The harsh winter weather took a toll on my skin at the beginning but now I have my skin back to normal so I will share with you my fave natural skincare heroes.
To be honest, it has been many many years of trial and error with my previously problem skin. I battled acne all through my teens and twenties and even into my early thirties. If you follow my blog you will know that natural skincare was the answer to all my problems. I finally feel confident in my own skin after years of insecurity and worry.
Since discovering natural skincare I have been fiddling around with various different at-home remedies and trying and testing natural skincare brands. This process started around 4 years ago and I am delighted and truly relieved to say, my skin is clear at long last.
I do have the odd random spot now and then, but hardly ever and I want to share with you my current natural skincare regime. I have began working on my old acne scars and also trying to reduce the appearance and formation of those pesky wrinkles.
I have noticed a huge improvement in my skins elasticity, cell turnover and appearance since discovering the following products and testing them in tandem with each other. It took me a long time to find a perfect combo and I will still be looking at other issues such as pore reduction and scar removal but so far, I am ecstatic with the results of the following products.
My current natural skincare regime –
SO’ BIO Hydra Aloe Vera Cleansing Micellar Lotion. A lovely calming and refreshing gentle makeup remover and toner. It is 99% natural and made with aloe vera. Suitable for all skin types. This is cheap and cheerful and you just need to apply it to a cotton pad or re-useable cotton pad.
Acure Brilliantly Brightening Facial Scrub. I did a whole blog post on this fab green clay based exfoliating and revitalising facial scrub. Gentle yet deep cleansing and a wonderful all-rounder. I use this 3 times a week and it can remove makeup perfectly in a rush too. Full of amazing ingredients and gives a healthy and noticeable glow.
Neals Yard Calendula Cleanser. I love this comforting cleanser. It is a cream cleanser so I use it after removing makeup but it can be used as a makeup remover if you leave it on for a minute and remove with a cotton pad or re-useable cotton pad. I have mentioned it on here a few times and it is ideal for sensitive or irritated skin. A great product to have on hand.
Eve Lom Cleansing Balm. A bit more on the expensive side but a real pamper product. I use this around 3-4 times a week and it is a gorgeous balm which can be used as an at-home facial with its lovely muslin cloth that comes provided. You apply it as a makeup remover but I use it after cleansing and leave on for 3 mins. Apply by massaging in circular motions and it feels so soothing and relaxing. Then warm the cloth with warm water and place over your face. It glides off effortlessly and leaves a dewy and super soft skin.
BAO Hydrate Rose Water. I discovered this product in the Cruelty Free Beauty Box. It is a really nice toner that instantly revitalises tired skin and wakes you up nicely. I apply it directly after cleansing every day and a couple of spritzes is plenty so it lasts well. Just smooth it over the rest of your skin with your fingertips. A lovely way to start the day and a gorgeous natural scent. It has hyaluronic acid too so great for ant-ageing properties and a noticeable pore reduction. Rose water is amazing as a toner and if you would like to make your own at home, check out my recent post on that!
Naissance 246 Rosehip Oil. Another fab find from the Cruelty Free Beauty Box. I have tried a few rosehip oils over the years and this is my firm favourite. It is non-greasy, sinks in quickly and has a wonderful effect on the skin. Check out my blog post on Rosehip oil and the benefits. I use it in the mornings after cleansing and toning.
Facetheory Regenacalm 3% retinol serum. My absolute hero product and best purchase ever has to be my trusty favourite Regenacalm retinol serum. I wrote a few posts on it before here and for very good reason. My skin has come on leaps and bounds since introducing it into my everyday skincare regime. Although not 100% natural, most ingredients are natural and it is simply divine. I never experienced any problems, only fantastic results. My skin has become clearer, less wrinkled and scar are reduced noticeably. Read my blog post on the discovering the Regenacalm range by Facetheory for more about that. I use it in the evenings before bed after toning and moisturising. Get 20% off with this coupon code.
Pure Wild Manuka honey and Rata SPF 30+ face moisturiser. A lovely SPF that moisturises but doesn’t leave behind any greasy residue. A great makeup base and a calming formulation that is kind to skin. I bought it in New Zealand and I love it but I am having trouble sourcing it online so I may need to find a replacement. Love it.
Facetheory Pink Clay AHA Mask. A gorgeous all-natural and luxurious, yet reasonably priced and beautifully packaged face mask that feels so calming and relaxing. It has natural walnut shell powder for exfoliation and gives a lovely youthful glow. I use it once a week or twice a month. Get 20% off with this coupon code.
Honey and cinnamon t-zone mask for blackhead removal. I mix a teaspoon of money and a sprinkle of cinnamon in my palm and apply to my t-zone. This helps to remove blackheads and cleanse the pores naturally. The results are immediate. Just leave on for 5-10mins and remove with a damp cotton pad or reusable cotton pad. This helps to reduce pores also.

So that is my current natural skincare regime. I am going to be purchasing some new skincare from Facetheory as they are one of my fave brands so stay tuned for the reviews. I will probably repurchase the glycolic acid cleanser as I do love it but ran out a while back. I am keen to sort out my enlarged pores and find some lip balm and a new SPF too so I will keep you posted!

This topic is so cool to me! I am gonna try these out!
I have been trying to switch to more natural beauty products in the last couple of years. I have not tried the Acure brightening scrub, but will have to look for it – it sounds great!
