I am super excited to bring you the news that I am going ahead with my dream of starting my own skincare brand. Finally, I am almost ready to launch, after a long journey of testing and choosing the perfect products made from natural and high quality ingredients and with full certification.

Sorry I have been absent from the blog for so long. So much has happened in my life and I have been completely overwhelmed. I have had to restart my life as a single mum in France, navigating life on my own in a foreign country, so needless to say I haven’t had much time to blog!

I am delighted to be back doing what I love and so grateful to be following my passion, which is natural skincare and cosmetics. I have been blogging about the huge benefits of natural and organic cosmetics since I started this blog almost 10 years ago.

I am a true believer that natural skincare made from top quality natural ingredients is the best solution for problem skin such as acne. After trying so many different types of skincare during my teens and twenties, I could never find a cure for my problem skin. I was really frustrated and upset that no matter what I tried, my adult acne persisted.

It was only when I finally decided to try the natural skincare route as a last resort, I realized that it was what my skin needed all along. I began making my own natural skincare masks and treatments at home using natural oils and kitchen basics such as oatmeal, honey and baking soda, that my skin finally started to clear.

Since then I have never looked back. If you are familiar with my blog you will know I post about the benefits of natural cosmetics and how they have changed my life. I have been a judge for CertClean and tested so many natural skincare brands and have been using natural skincare for over ten years.

I had tried so many brands over the years that were full of chemicals and toxins in order to clear my acne. What I didnt realise was all the harsh chemicals were stripping my skin of its natural oils and causing more irritation. What my skin needed all along was a gentle approach. I never believed that natural skincare would be strong enough to deal with my acne.

I assumed that I needed to use brands like Clearasil, ProActiv and other highly promoted and advertised brands, focused on the advertisements I seen online or television and billboards etc. That is the power of marketing. Although it may have worked for some people, my skin reacted badly to the harsh chemicals and actually made it worse. My skin would dry out completely and the spots rarely faded. In some cases made my skin break out even worse! ProActiv was also really expensive and actually bleached a pillow case. Needless to say I stopped using that.

As a last resort I began looking up at-home face masks and natural oil combinations using carrier oils and essential oils, olive oil and honey and I started trying them out. I couldnt believe how quickly my skin began to clear and improve. To think I had spent so much time and money over the years and the answer was right there at home.

It is amazing the power of advertising when it comes to choosing skincare products and cosmetics. Previously, before natural skincare became hugely popular in the last 7 years or so, the cosmetic companies were all focused on the latest technology involving chemicals and innovation.

Luckily, it has come to light that natural cosmetics are the way forward in terms of health and beauty. There has been a massive increase in the demand for natural skincare and eco products. It is great to see that people are more wary of the daily toxins that we can put on our skin and how they’re absorbed, as well as the impact on the environment in the production of these chemicals.

I love the clean beauty movement and I am a huge advocate for clean beauty so of course this is where my passion lies. I always dreamed of starting my own natural beauty brand but until now I never thought it would be possible. I am just so excited to be launching next month and cannot wait to share it with you!!

My first five products will be focusing on problem skin, as I have had the experience of the absolute nightmare of acne (all through my teens and twenties) and still break out from time to time. Nowhere near what I used to, but I can honestly say that is thanks to natural skincare and has made my life so much easier.

So I will be divulging more details in the coming weeks as to what you can expect from my range. I am currently working on my new website and online shop. I will have a seperate blog on there too, with lots of tips and skincare information.

I will be back on this blog, which I am really looking forward to the most. I have missed it so much! This blog has been my personal blog since day one almost 10 years ago so it is important to me. It will be seperate to my business blog and it is so close to my heart and personal so you can expect much of the same content. I will still be reviewing other natural skincare and eco-friendly brands. I will also be posting health, beauty, eco and lifestyle content so please stay tuned for that.
