I have been hearing great things about the Acure range for some time now. I happened to come across the Acure Brilliantly Brightening facial scrub recently and seen a few top reviews. I decided to check it out for myself and I have to say I am so impressed! I normally read the reviews on a certain product before buying just to see what other people are saying and if it will be good for my skin type and so on. I was amazed to see such a high volume of top ratings online, mainly 5 stars and lots of people singing their praises. The Brilliantly Brightening facial scrub was one particular product that appealed to me, so I went ahead and bought it. The range is reasonably priced so that is a huge plus point for starters. It is suitable for all skin types.

Here are some of the natural ingredients that appealed to me –

Acai – anti-ageing, protects the skin, firms and tightens, contains fatty acids, antioxidant, vitamin C and E. Revives and rejuvenates skin.

Blackberry – rich in vitamins A, C and K which help to heal wounds and lift acne scars. Hydrates and rejuvenates skin.

Rosehips – a natural source of omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids which help repair and regenerate damaged skin while reducing the appearance of scars.

Calendula – contains carotenoids which give a youthful appearance. Moisturising, anti-ageing and protective of skin with antioxidants.

Chamomile – Healing properties. Anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, antioxidant. Skin lightening, acne fighting, scar reducing, soothing and anti-inflammatory.

Chlorella – improves skin tone and firmness. Contains lipids, amino acids, and several minerals which help with skin regeneration.

Rooibos – contains an antioxidant known as superoxide dismutase. This antioxidant is an excellent anti-ageing substance. Reduces wrinkles and aids in cell regeneration.

Sage – contains vitamin A and calcium, which play a major role in daily cell regeneration. Combats free radicals, reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

Lemon peel granules – help smoothen and soften skin, combat acne, remove dead skin and give a healthy glow.

Sea Kelp is full of super-nutrients which help soften and detoxify the skin. Lemon peel and French green clay cleanse and remove impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils.

Madonna Lily Leaf gives the skin a glow with its brightening properties.

Chlorella has the most chlorophyll of any other plant in the world and is rich in antioxidant blue-green algae. It is rich in amino acids and antioxidants. Packed with vitamins as well as betacarotene and lutein. It contains many minerals, vitamins A, B, C and E as well as iron and zinc.

It has a lovely texture to it and it feels so natural. It is a green colour with some texture to it and it is for exfoliating, as a face scrub. For that reason you only use it 3 times a week. This gives your skin time to regenerate.

Remove makeup or else use it as a makeup remover ( I prefer to remove my makeup before using but I have used it as a makeup remover too ). It lathers up well and gives a really fresh clean. Apply a small amount to your wet face and gently scrub. Wash off with tepid water.

I noticed a glow immediately after using this for the first time! Within 15 minutes or less, I had a look in the mirror and noticed the difference. My face seemed smoother and my top of my cheekbones had a lovely healthy glow. I love the feel of the Acure Brilliantly Brightening facial scrub and enjoy using it. It feels great, very pamperish, yet quick and easy to do.

My skin is looking healthier and it is glowing! I can’t wait to see the long term benefits of using this since there are so many fab natural ingredients. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation from years of sun damage and red marks from acne over the years. Hopefully this is helping me tackle those in time. It has plenty of healing and balancing skin nutrients so fingers crossed!
