My Cruelty Free Beauty Box Review

Hi Friends,

I was delighted to get my hands on my fave subscription box with top quality ethical and natural beauty products. So without further ado, here is my Cruelty Free Beauty Box review!

Firstly, I am already a big fan of The Cruelty Free Beauty Box, as featured on here before. I love their ethics, brand mission and friendly customer service and most of all, the exciting new brands I discover through the beauty box! It is definitely one of the best, if not the best value for money natural skincare beauty boxes out there.

I decided to build my own beauty box since I love that option and can choose exactly what I want. This month in particular I was super impressed by the choices. To be honest I was hard pushed to decide between all the gorgeous items but that is definitely a good complaint. Spoiled for choice!

Righto, so I spent a good 20 minutes chopping and changing my choices but finally decided on the following products and it only cost me £20 in total. You literally cannot beat the price on this because one of the items retails at £25 plus, alone!

The first item I chose was the Lionsleaf Republic of Natural Skincare Try Oil Cleansing Kit. I had heard of the cleansing balm via some natural beauty blogs in the past so I said I would give it a whirl. The great thing about the tester is that it comes in a little cute metal tin with the balm, similar to a lip balm so basically this is the perfect compact travel item. It is also a fab way to try before you buy. It comes with 5 muslin cloths so again, perfect for holidays and weekends away etc.

I couldn’t wait to try this balm as I adore beauty balms. My skin seems to really benefit from them so I always have a good one. I think balms are so nourishing and just a lovely pamper for taking the day off. Muslin cloths are the best for removing dead skin cells and properly exfoliating in my opinion so a big thumbs up to that. You just run the clean cloth under hot water and apply it to your face for a few seconds to let the balm sink in properly then slide it off and hey presto, clean and clear pores. Saving the planet by cutting down on waste too since you just rinse with hot water and throw in the wash. Awesome. I am loving the brand already.

The cleansing oil balm works like a dream and smells phenomenal. I can’t get enough of it now and have been using only this at night. I figured I would follow instructions on the leaflet included which is a no fuss approach to skincare with the one simple product for cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising. The minimalist approach has me hooked! I will definitely purchase the full size version when this runs out. In order to give this a proper review I even left out my precious Retinol serum but I will be reintroducing that tonight. However, I can safely say this was a wonderful all-rounder and would use it on its own no problem. I am in love with my Regenacalm serum so I am not giving that up for love nor money haha!

Next item I chose was a full size Benecos natural eyeshadow in Rose Quartz. It is a shimmery yet subtle colour and perfect for daytime. It is very light but gives a little glint and looks very natural so I wear that on the school run without feeling overly made-up. This colour seems a little light for my dark eyes as I prefer darker but I will definitely be keen to try some other shades from the range. The staying power wasn’t amazing but I do rub my eyes a lot lately cos I am tired from renovating and minding two young kids! I hadn’t tried Benecos yet but I love the fact that it is natural so I will purchase some other colours in future. Stay tuned for that review.

I was in need of a nice new natural body wash so I was keen to try a popular one by Evolve Organics. It is African Orange Aromatic Wash. I love, love, love the scent of orange so I knew I would love this. It makes me feel fabulous and energised every morning in the shower. It has that uplifting aroma that gives you a boost and wakes you up. I love Evolve Organics and have tried a few items from The Cruelty Free Beauty Box so far. They’re always winning awards. Recommend it!

The next product I chose was the LMB (Le Mont Blanc) Natural Digital Detox Programme 2 Minute Anti-static Hair Mask. So I had never heard of this brand but checked them out online out of curiosity. They seem to get a lot of great reviews and are a bit on the expensive side so I was happy to get a generous sized sample bottle. I use only natural products on my hair so this appealed to me immediately. Made with pure plant extracts and natural minerals, it absorbs static, boosts hair growth and helps prevent split-ends. I used it as a clarifying wash just as my hair needed one. It is made with fullers earth clay and contains no artificial preservatives. I really like it! My hair is very fussy but it gave a great clean and smells fab. I will keep it for when I have product build-up and need a good rinse clean. Handy to have on hand.

The last but not certainly not least item I chose was the full size Bella Pierre Banana Setting Powder. It was pure fate that this came up because I had been actually searching for a banana powder for setting my Jane Iredale mineral foundation with. I had come across a natural one so I grabbed this with both hands. I had a look online to see the price and it costs a whopping $35 plus postage from the main site! I delved further and discovered that this is actually a cult product with tonnes of 5 star reviews. So glad to have this in my fave beauty box! The Cruelty Free Beauty box rocks. I have been using this to set my foundation every day and it is so perfect. It leaves zero creases and is silky smooth. Best of all, it is natural mineral makeup and from an award winning brand. Fab product and everyone should try this!

I am so grateful and amazed by the generosity of The Cruelty Free Beauty Box as it is just the gift that keeps on giving! Get this, I got another 2 lovely free surprises!!! They threw in a Tropika Skin Coconut Cleansing Oil with olive oil which is a brilliant makeup remover and a little packet of Parma Violet sweets which my little girl loves from last time. So sweet.

So there is my Cruelty Free Beauty Box review. All I can say is, ahh-mazing. Do go and check out The Cruelty Free Beauty Box for yourself and let me know your verdict if you do. They sell all their products in their online shop too so the range is great. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Love,

Ciara x

  1. £20 really isn’t bad for all you got. I’m seriously considering picking up one in the future.

Thank you for this. My purse won’t thank you but I sure as hell will 🙂
