Pierre d’alun 100% Natural Deodorant Stone – Amazing!

Hi Everyone,

Finally I have found what I have been searching for all along, the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone. It is nothing short of amazing! I have been trying to find a good quality natural deodorant for a while now and had been fairly unsuccessful so far. I have tried a few natural brands and wasn’t overly impressed by the results. I seemed to be re-applying them during the day or just discontinuing use. I was reluctant to fork out more money in the hope of finding a good one but I really don’t like the chemicals in the non-natural kind so I was apprehensive.

After many online searches and scouring natural beauty shops I still hadn’t found a reasonably priced one with amazing reviews. I went on holidays to Morocco last week and happened to stumble across the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone at a market. The souk markets in Morocco are fantastic and right up my street basically. The Moroccans are truly inspiring as they use all natural products, live a holistic lifestyle and are extremely eco friendly.

They sell all the herbs, soaps, tinctures and all things natural everywhere so I was in my element. I even had my hair dyed with henna professionally! I will be back with a blog post on henna very soon so stay tuned or subscribe for that. My hair is in wonderful condition and it’s bye bye chemical hair dye for me!

Anyhoo, I noticed the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stones on a market stall and immediately recognised it. My Mum had used one years ago and kept it in a little jewellery tray on her dresser. I was curious what it was and she told me that it was a natural deodorant. She also explained that she used because she didn’t like the chemicals in standard deodorant.

Right enough, anti-perspirant has been linked to breast cancer and deodorant closes the pores on the skin, stopping the body from repelling toxins. When you think about it, it sends those toxins that the body tries to expel back into the blood stream. On top of that, the toxins in the spray or roll on deodorant then sink into your skin and absorb into the bloodstream also.

Pierre d'alun stone

I was delighted to be reminded of the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone and couldn’t believe that I hadn’t thought of it before. I mentioned it to my partner and he had used it once before. He had forgotten about it too but assured me it worked well so we both grabbed one. They were so cheap, I figured if it works, I will have my solution. He told me he found one in a pharmacy once but it was shaped like a soap and he used it till it ran out, around 8 months later. He hadn’t seen one since and forgot about it.

It is just a lightweight rock with a slight resemblance to a salt lamp texture. The Pierre d’alun deodorant stone is a natural mineral. Used in beauty and hygiene since Ancient Egyptian times, it can be found near volcanoes in its natural state. The great thing is, it doesn’t leave any residue, won’t leave marks on your clothes and is so simple and good for the environment. Absolutely no waste! It even lasts for around 8 months plus.

The great thing is, it is available in abundance, can be sourced online or in specialist shops and pharmacies. Check out your local bio shop or do an online search. The English translation is Alum stone so use that search term or else the results will come up in French. Pierre d’alun is the name I know it by so I will stick with that. I had heard the Pierre d’alun mentioned on various labels (strangely enough – even on a Dove deodorant label once!) and previously assumed it was a natural fragrance. Imagine that Dove deodorant would be claiming to be Pierre d’alun, probably trying to greenwash people. Don’t you just hate that?! Pet peeve.

Pierre d'alun natural deodorant stone

So anyway, I tried the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone asap. I literally couldn’t believe my luck. It was so effective and easy to use. You just rub it under your pits and hey presto, it keeps you dry and odour-free all day long. There is no scent, which is no problem at all. I wash under my armpits in the shower in the morning, use the Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone in seconds and off I go! It is like a magic stone, so cool! I feel like a real eco warrior now. Bye bye environmentally unfriendly deodorant and yucky chemicals from my life!

Friends, you simply have to try it out for yourself. It is a real game-changer and so, so cheap! That is why I am spreading the word. Help save the planet and make life easier for yourself too. It is the healthier choice for your body obviously.

Did you know that Pierre d’alun can also be used to combat cold sores? You simply mix some powder with a little water and apply it to the affected area until it disappears. What a brilliant natural alternative to those medicated creams and gels. It can even be used on mouth ulcers with the same effect!

Pierre d’alun has anti-inflammatory properties and can help treat sunburn once powdered and added to water to make a cold compress. If you suffer from ingrown nails, bathe them in a mixture of Pierre d’alun powder with water. It has anti-bacterial properties that can also help.

100% natural deodorant stone

I think everyone should have a Pierre d’alun 100% natural deodorant stone in their home, it’s amazing. I am definitely sticking with it from now on. So is my partner, we are really impressed with it. The fact that you don’t even have to replace it for so long is a huge plus point.

Another fab natural product to add to the green regime! Let me know if you try this or have tried it before. I love hearing your feedback 🙂
