100% Natural Skincare by Moor Spa Review

Moor spa skincare set and headband

Hello Beauties,

Today I am happy to bring you a review of this amazing 100% natural skincare by Moor Spa. As you may know I am a huge natural skincare fanatic and I am forever raving about the benefits of going ‘au naturel’. I have been trying lots and lots of natural skin care brands over the past 6 years or so since discovering that cutting out harsh chemicals and taking the natural route, cleared my adult acne. Ever since I made that fateful discovery, I have never looked back!

I was a lucky girl to be sent some fabulous and gorgeously branded products by Moor Spa so I have been using the Hydrating serum, the Kelp enzyme mask and the Nourishing facial oil for almost 2 weeks now. Normally I expect to see results in a couple of weeks but I was so impressed by this trio, I noticed immediate results after using on the first night! Kudos to that 😀

Here is a little bit about the brand – Moor Spa is inspired by the healing powers of nature. All of their products contain the unique Austrian Deep Moor mud (a nutrient rich complex made with hundreds of herbs, plants and flowers). Moor Spa are certified by CertClean and use only naturally derived ingredients of the highest quality. They never test on animals so are Leaping Bunny certified also. On top of that, they are environmentally conscious by using d2w biodegradable plastic or glass packaging. Their products contain zero artificial preservatives.

I first applied the lovely Kelp enzyme mask. Kelp enzyme is AKA Kelzyme, which is a fossilised, calcified kelp deposit extracted from an ancient seabed over 30 million years old. Its made up of over seventy percent calcium and over seventy trace minerals!

So after cleansing and toning my skin, I applied my rose water toner and patted the skin dry. I then used a little fan brush (pamperish!) that I had received free in a subscription box. It is nice and relaxing to apply and soothes the skin immediately. I left it on for around 15mins and by that time it had dried so I knew it was time to rinse it off. As per the instructions, I washed my face with warm water.

I followed with the Hydrating serum. My skin drinks this stuff in and immediately feels relieved. It is such a nice feeling when your skin really loves a particular product. They great thing about this serum is that it dries in quickly (so no oiliness) and it is part of my very quick morning skincare ritual, as well as my night time ritual which I spend a bit longer on.

The Hydrating serum contains hyaluronic acid and kelp extract which are naturally hydrating. It also contains marine phytoplankton which helps to nourish skin and vitamin C and ectoin for protection. I massage in a small amount of this and it feels divine, especially after the Kelp enzyme mask.

The little pump bottle is handy but it does pump out quite a bit of product so you can cover your neck too or else manoeuvre it so it pumps out a smaller amount if you want to save on product. The instructions says to follow with a Moor Spa moisturiser but I just follow with their lovely Nourishing facial oil. Oils are great for locking in moisture and this one is absolutely fab!

So I am a massive fan of oils as a night time facial product. I don’t tend to use them in the morning as I do find them to be oily and in my opinion best for night time. The Moor Spa nourishing facial oil is a blend of rosehip oil, kukui (had not heard of this one before) and Argan oil which I am a big fan of. These contain revitalising nutrients such as fatty acids, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.

This oil really smells beautiful and I love putting it on at night before bed. Its one of those lovely little rituals that feels like proper self care and puts me in a good mood before bed. The scent is Rose Otto essential oil and is in no way over powering, its just right to be honest. Ahh the little things in life!

So anyway, I was surprised and delighted to notice that my skin felt soft as a baby’s bum once I had applied the trio of products from Moor Spa. I couldn’t believe the texture of my skin, I literally kept feeling my face haha!

Since then I have been hooked! I love this ritual. I only use the face mask twice a week (I am saving this stuff, its gold!) but I use the hydrating serum morning and evening and the oil every night. I have gone completely minimalist now. I do use a natural moisturiser in the morning and of course, cleanse and tone beforehand. But I am using only these 3 Moor Spa products now so that will tell you I am more than impressed!

I am considering purchasing the moisturiser now so I might put that on my Christmas list. My products arrived in a lovely bag with a comfy adjustable headband for the ultimate spa-at-home recreation. I could hug the lovely girls at Moor because this could not have come at a better time for me! With lockdown and renovating a house I have had very little me time so this gave me the ultimate excuse to pamper myself.

I am mostly grateful for my new skincare routine which is so easy and enjoyable. Friends, if you are looking for 100% natural skincare that does it all, you know where to go. They guarantee there are no synthetic preservatives, colours or fragrances, or any petroleum-derived ingredients. Phew, that really is comforting and reassuring to know. I hate when you have to scan the ingredients on products to see if they are skin safe. Yay for brands like Moor Spa.

Well, on that note I am off to shop for a bath for our new (finally!) bathroom so that I can truly enjoy the at-home spa experience on the regular! Roll on 2021…
