I am always posting about natural skincare masks and how beneficial they are. So today i am going to share clear skin smoothies recipes which really nourish from within. Why not have the added benefit of treating your skin from the inside? They not only tastes great but is amazingly healthy.
You have heard the saying ‘you are what you eat’ before, and this just proves it. I have seen online testimonials to show how people have gone from having severely bad skin to completely clear complexions in a matter of weeks by drinking this every day.
I am delighted to be trying this out for myself since i have been looking for a decent green smoothie recipe for ages. Finding this has motivated me to start juicing. Clear skin with the added bonus of serious nutrition. Happy days.
I need plenty of iron in my diet since i recently found out I’m pregnant but i find it difficult to incorporate it in my diet every day. However, spinach is a great source of iron and there is plenty in this recipe so thats that sorted.
Omega 3 is an essential part of the diet aswell and it can be hard to fulfil daily needs. There is plenty in this with the flax seeds and almonds so another great reason to drink this regularly. Great benefit to hair and nails also. Sold!
*Note: You will need a blender or juicer to make this recipe
1 TBSP OF COCONUT OIL
300 ML WATER
1-2 HANDFULS OF ALMONDS
2 KIWIS OR 1/2 AN APPLE
2-3 TBSP FLAX SEEDS
25-50 MLS OF ACAI JUICE (Best) OR COCONUT WATER OR 2 TBSP LEMON JUICE WITH 40MLS WATER
2-3 HANDFULS OF SPINACH
THROW EVERYTHING IN THE BLENDER AND BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH
LEAVE THE REMAINDER IN THE FRIDGE IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER OR JUG COVERED IN CLING FILM
This makes a good breakfast on the go if you have a take-away plastic cup with a straw
You can drink it any time of the day in between meals. It is quite filling so probably best to drink separately from your main meals for that reason
I will be incorporating this as part of my daily routine and I’ll report back on how my skin is reacting to it. I know its super healthy as part of my diet too so i think its a keeper!

BERRY SKIN BOOSTER SMOOTHIE
The berry skin booster smoothie is an all-time fave of mine as its so yummy and full of nutrition. Who knew healthy could taste so good?!
This recipe is a yummy and healthy combo that is easy to make and quick to do in a hurry. It makes a great breakfast-on-the-go, pre-workout energy booster or healthy snack for any time of day. It is rich in minerals and vitamins for glowing and radiant skin.
Berries are naturally full of antioxidants and boost the skins production of collagen and protecting the skin for the suns damaging rays. It also contains flax seeds which are full of Omega 3 fatty acids which help keep the skin hydrated as well as retaining a youthful and smooth appearance. Heres what you will need:
1/2 CUP OF BLUEBERRIES
1/4 CUP OF RASPBERRIES
1/4 CUP OF STRAWBERRIES
3/4 OF GREEK YOGHURT
2 TSP FLAX SEEDS
1 TBSP LIQUID HONEY
THROW THE FRUIT IN THE BLENDER, ADD THE GREEK YOGHURT, FLAX SEEDS AND HONEY AND BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH.
If you like you can garnish with some berries, a sprinkle of coconut or a sprig of mint.
Too Easy! This recipe takes around 2 minutes so it is a great breakfast in a hurry. It tastes yummy and really gives you an energy boost as wells a skin boost.
