Yummy Natural Scented Lip Scrub

I found this yummy French Toast scented lip scrub and just had to try it out. I have been getting chapped lips recently due to the change in temperature, well into Autumn and dare i say it, approaching winter, arghhh! As the weather gets colder, our lips need that extra care and this year i will be doing my best to avoid the dreaded dry and chapped lips.

A lot of people skip the lip scrub step and go straight for a lip balm but i think its better to prep the lips before using a lip balm for best effect. I used to use a soft toothbrush but found it to be a bit dry on the lips without a scrub so i have been searching for natural lip scrub recipes and i found this yummy one with all the ingredients i already have at home. Yay!

It so simple to make and you really will notice the difference immediately. They will be softer and even a little plumper after one use and your lip balm will glide on perfectly after. The lips often get neglected since we often focus on other areas of the face when doing our normal beauty regime but i highly recommend this as it only take a few seconds and you will be glad to incorporate it when you see and feel the results. Its a lovely scent too so you will most likely enjoy applying it.

Hey, its good enough to eat! And due to the fact that all the ingredients are edible and healthy, you can be safe in the knowledge that you won’t be ingesting any harmful chemicals. Here are the ingredients for this cheap and easy to make lip scrub:

WHAT U NEED:

1 TBSP MAPLE SYRUP/ ORGANIC HONEY

1 TSP OF GROUND CINNAMON

3 TBSP ORGANIC WHITE SOFT GRANULATED SUGAR

A GOOD PINCH OF GROUND NUTMEG

4 DROPS OF PURE VANILLA EXTRACT

1 TBSP COCONUT OIL

SMALL GLASS JAR/CONTAINER WITH A LID

MIXING BOWL AND A FORK

A SOFT TOOTHBRUSH

DIRECTIONS:

MIX TOGETHER THE SUGAR, CINNAMON AND NUTMEG

ADD THE COCNUT OIL, MAPLE SYRUP/HONEY AND MASH WITH A FORK

IT WILL SEEMS HARD TO MIX AT FIRST BUT KEEP GOING AND YOU WILL GET THE DESIRED TEXTURE

TRANSFER TO THE CONTAINER

APPLY USING A SMALL AMOUNT ON YOUR FINGER AND MASSAGE IN, BUFFING GENTLY

DONT SCRUB TOO HARSHLY, JUST RE-APPLY IF IT DOESNT REMOVE ALL EXCESS SKIN AT ONCE

ONCE YOU HAVE BUFFED YOUR LIPS TO REMOVE ANY FLAKING OR DEAD SKIN, WASH OFF WITH WARM WATER AND APPLY A GOOD QUALITY MOISTURISING LIP BALM

FOR BEST RESULTS, USE EVERY DAY WITH LIP BALM

I think you will really notice how much softer your lips feel and the lip balm will feel much softer. Like a primer for your make up, you will see how much better your lip liner, lipstick and gloss will sit and stay on your lips. It will look way better too. I would do this in the morning or at night 10minutes before lipstick or liner application to let the lip balm sink in and give the perfect base for luscious lips

Hope you enjoy!
