DIY Flaxseed Gel & Aloe Vera Gel for Hair

Hi Everyone!

I have been trying out some new natural products such as DIY flaxseed gel and aloe vera for my curly hair recently. I have read so many rave reviews online about the DIY flaxseed gel from lots of curly hair blogs and on Pinterest so I decided to try it out for myself. I had some flaxseeds in the cupboard as I eat them with my cereal in the mornings often. You can buy them in most health food shops. It is a simple process but it is quite messy and takes a bit of time.

Aloe vera is a fantastic product to have in your beauty regime. I wrote an extensive post on the benefits here. Although I regularly use aloe vera gel on my skin, I had never used it in my hair until now. Considering I recently discovered that gel works really well in taming my unruly curls, I decided to give it a go. I have been taking Niacinamide, Biotin, Spirulina and Omega 3 supplements for the last month and I have noticed great improvement in my skin, hair and nails. My nails are so much stronger and growing so quick now. I had been wanting to try Biotin for quite a while now as I am trying to grow my hair and had read that it is the best supplement to take for that. Biotin seemed to be expensive in most of the health shops but I managed to find a really reasonably priced one online to decided to give it a go. Obviously I won’t notice too much difference in my hair length just yet as it has only been a month but my nails are much stronger, I have had to cut them twice this month! That is impressive, they aren’t even breaking and I’m delighted about that as they were quite brittle before. My hair feels softer, shinier and healthier so I think I will stick with these supplements as my hair was very brittle and dry before and nothing seemed to be working in terms of hair oil masks and deep treatments. Hemp oil is a nutty flavored oil that comes from the raw seeds of the Hemp plant. It is not to be confused with hash oil, although it is derived from the same plant and has loads of benefits. I am going to share the long list of those benefits of using hemp oil for health and skincare.

Eat and Drink Your Way to Clear Skin!

Hi Everyone,

If you happened to read my last blog post on Superfoods, you will know that I have started taking steps to improve my inner health and thus, outer beauty. I have been feeling very sluggish up until recently and I realise that I need to work on my health and food intake. My skin has improved a lot since I have switched up my eating habits. Drinking lots of water has helped too. I actually find it hard to drink lots of water but I have started infusing my water with various fruits in order to give it a bit of taste so its not so bland. I have also started using an app called Waterminder that reminds me exactly when I need to drink a glass of water throughout the day, so that helps! You can download it for free so if its not working for you then its no worries. To be honest I don’t always stick to it but it is good to have some sort of reminder. Anyway, the aim is to drink 8 glasses a day. What I’m doing is leaving a jug of infused water with cucumber, lemon or berries and a glass beside it on the kitchen table and every time I pass there to go into another room, I try and have a small glass.
